Dear Member Associations,
Apimondia, together with other 17 EU Partners, is taking part in the EU project “B-THENET”, the first platform for European beekeepers (https://www.bthenet.eu).
The overall goal of the project is to collect and develop Best Beekeeping Practices and innovations and discuss them among beekeepers, advisors and other stakeholders according to the local contexts of 13 EU countries using our digital platforms. At national (13 National B-THENET Centres) and international (3 International B-THENET Centres) level, we foster knowledge exchange and circulation of the Best Beekeeping Practices in the EU.
We are pleased to inform you that, on the occasion of the 49th Apimondia Congress that will take place in Copenhagen, Denmark, on 23-27 September 2025 (https://apimondia2025.com), we will organise the 1st B-THENET International Event for Beekeepers.
This interactive event is open to all beekeepers who are interested in Best Beekeeping Practices and in the modernisation of beekeeping in the EU. The meeting will take place on 26 September 2025 from 11:00 till 14:00 hrs in the Bella Centre (Room A3), where the 49th Apimondia Congress is being hosted.
The programme of the event will address the following topics:
– brief presentation of the B-THENET project;
– practical examples on how to use the AI to retrieve and compare the Best Beekeeping Practices (Good Beekeeping Practices and Biosecurity Measures in Beekeeping) developed in 13 EU countries;
– analysis of the most significant differences in good beekeeping practices and biosecurity measures among countries.
English will be the working language of the event.
